Campers enjoy a wide variety of Arts, Sports, Science and Outdoor Adventure activities.

As they grow, campers graduate from unit to unit, experiencing new and more challenging activities!

Campers are divided into units based on their completed grade level in June 2019.

Bears – Grade 1
Eagles – Grade 2
Seniors – Grades 3 and 4
Grads and Alumni – Grades 5, 6, and 7
Leadership Training Program – Grades 8 and 9

Campers are grouped by age and gender. Friend requests are welcome. There are 2-3 counselors per group of 12 children, depending on their age.

Along with their counsellors, campers participate in a variety of age appropriate activities, most of which are taught by specialty instructors. Each day, campers can look forward to five different activities, in addition to an instructional and recreational swim.

With over 40 activities at camp your child will have a great mix of art, science, nature, sport, outdoor adventure, and performing arts activities.

Campers participate in a daily instructional and recreational swim on-site in one of our 2 heated outdoor pools and/or heated junior waterslide park. Green Acres uses the Lifesaving Swim, Lifesaving Patrol and Lifesaving Bronze programs, all taught by certified swim instructors.

We are very proud that for 15 years, David Goldberg of Act One Theatre directs our top-notch theatre performances. Each Summer campers completing Grade 1 or higher have the opportunity to perform in one Broadway style musical in July and August. Every show is performed in front of the entire camp as well as an evening performance for parents.

For teens completing Grades 8 & 9, the LTP program prepares them for leadership roles both at camp and in their future. LTPs will experience placements around camp with different age groups, assisting counselors, instructors and specialists. Community initiatives allow them to earn up to 18 volunteer hours. In addition to a monthly 2-night leadership trip to Camp Wahanowin, LTPs will also participate in to weekly interactive and fun workshops. The LTP program allows teens to gain experience while making friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

Saddle Champs Half-Day Riding
Enjoy the benefits of both Traditional and Riding Camp. This introductory half-day riding program for campers completing Grades 1 through 7 allows new riders to experience horseback riding while also participating in camp activities with their cabin group. Campers spend half the day in an English riding lesson and the other half of the day in Traditional Camp. Sign up for this optional program on a two week basis.

An exclusive opportunity for Green Acres campers to try out all the amazing adventures of sleepover camp without the long term commitment. Participating campers will be grouped together at Green Acres and travel to Wahanowin with their Green Acres counselors where they will also be supervised by Wahanowin Directors and Head Staff. Wahanowin offers a full range of water, land sports, creative arts and adventure programs in a fabulous facility. NEW! 7-day trip, from Monday July 15th to Monday July 22nd. (Grades 2, 3 & 4) Additional fee of $325 + HST
